Los Angeles has a new cultural attraction: the Getty Center! Discover memorable works of art, tranquil gardens, dramatic architecture, and awe-inspiring views.

Inside, you'll view European paintings, manuscripts, drawings, sculpture, and decorative arts. The unique architectural design elements, beautiful gardens, and open spaces harmoniously blends the various elements of the J. Paul Getty Trust.

The center itself, sits on a hilltop in the Santa Monica Mountains, just off the San Diego Freeway. From there, visitors can take in the disparate aspects of Los Angeles's landscape the Pacific Ocean, the San Gabriel Mountains, and the vast street-grid of the city. Inspired by the relationship between these elements, architect Richard Meier designed the complex to highlight both nature and culture.

The Central Garden, created by renowned artist Robert Irwin, lies at the heart of the Getty Center. The 134,000-square-foot design features a natural ravine and tree-lined walkway that leads the visitor through an extraordinary experience of sights, sounds, and scents.

In addition to the Central Garden, the Getty Center features abundant landscaping for public enjoyment, including a cactus garden at the South Promontory, fountains in the Museum Courtyard and the Central Plaza, shaded hideaways, and spectacular views of the Santa Monica Mountains, the Pacific Ocean, and Los Angeles.

• Drive time to The J. Paul Getty Museum is approximately 30 - 45 minutes.
  

Starline Parking Validation:

• First 4 hours: $2.00 Maximum. More than 4 hours: $10.00 maximum - this is considered all day parking, however does not allow for overnight parking.

• Entrance to this underground parking is by the Renaissance Hotel 1755 N.Highland Ave. At Johnny Grant Way, the sign reads "5 Star Public Parking Hollywood & Highland", or from 1754 N. Orange Drive with the name as above.

This tour must be booked at least 24hrs in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print this voucher on you home/office printer and present SIGNED voucher at departure location. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation Policy: 

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. If the tour is cancelled by the tour operator, the full ticket price will be refunded.
